Scouts: Meet every Friday from 7:00 to 9:00

The Scout Troop is for young people aged from about 10.5 to 14. The troop is organised into groups called Patrols, each of between 4 and 6 young people led by a Patrol Leader who is one of the Scouts. As an active scout troop, we get up to all sorts of exciting and adventurous activities, both in our regular meetings and on camps and visits. Scouts are at the age where they can experience the true adventure that scouting has to offer – from arts and crafts in the meeting place to jumping off cliffs, climbing, sailing, hiking, raft building and many more! We aim to give scouts a wide range of experiences so they can learn some new skills along the way. We aim to cover a wide range of fun activities in order to help them to find out about the world in which they live, encourage them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit and help develop their creative talents.

We try to do as much of this outside as possible, especially during the summer months. We try to go camping as often as possible, regardless of the weather, having camp-fires, activities on the common etc.
