Skills for Life

The Group is managed by a team of volunteers, led by Andy Hewitt as the Group Lead Volunteer and Jim Grant as the Operational Support Team Leader. They have both had children involved with the Group, from Beaver to Explorer, and have spent many years running the Scout section. The Group is active in running camps locally, nationally and internationally with camps at the local Braggers Wood campsite, Lake District, Devon, Denmark and Switzerland.

Welcome to Highcliffe Scout Group

The Trustee Board help support the young people and leaders, look after the day to day running of the group and the building. As well as the Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, there are Trustees who each bring a particular enthusiasm or skill to the team. They each contribute what they can and support each other in the tasks that need to be completed. We are hoping to expand our fund-raising team in the near future.

Further trustees are occasionally required, as people move on.  Trustees must be able to volunteer for a couple of evenings per term. If you are interested in this please contact us and we can discuss any upcoming vacancies.  We are currently looking to appoint a Chair to the trustee board.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
